Intel integrated graphics… worst graphics ever. Well, it probably will run (since the Sims 3 system requirements say for minimum that an Intel GMA 3000 can be used) but only on low settings or so. Possibly with awful frame rates even then.

Get a laptop that has at least an ATI or NVidia discrete graphics card.

I love laserdiscs & my 32inch analog tv but i guess one day i will be forced to buy one of these thin body lcd or plasma tvs. Does anyone know if laserdisc players or even a vcr will play on them. I own a dvd player also but i enjoy running laserdiscs every night.

Sure. All HDTVs have composite and s-video legacy video ports.

Question by : How to get my blu ray player to play the audio out of my tv speakers.?
I have a panasonic blu ray sa-bt200 hooked up downstairs with surround sound. I moved the blu ray upstairs temporarily and I want the audio to play through the tv speakers. I looked around and I figured out how to do it using an hdmi cable but the problem is I’m using component cables. Help please.

I looked up that system and I’m just assuming it’s that 7 speaker home theater, if it is it only has an hdmi out for TV, if so just try and shop around and you can get a cheap hdmi cable from monoprice.com or Partsexpress.com.

if it’s just a blu-ray player alone then it should have two RCA plugs that audio out and should be a red and white plug, just connect those to your TV’s audio in color coded:)

but like I said, you can get an hdmi off partsexpress for , of course there’s like shipping, but still, you get good quality for . and monoprice is good quality and really cheap, idk how much. or if you shop around I found a monster 800 hdmi cable at toys R us for .99 today:)

Question by : How do I get this dvd to play in most if not all dvd players?
I burned a video in .mpg format on a +R dvd. It plays in my computer and in all computers that I know of but it won’t play in some of the dvd players I’ve been using. It doesn’t have an opening menu, it’s just a plain video in mpg format. I have tried it on a -R dvd as well and it also doesn’t work. Are the dvd players just out of date or am I doing something wrong?

You need to author it into DVD specs before it will work on all players. I recommend DVD Flick.

I kinda downloaded 6 movies using utorrent and the movies are perfect, but they just wont play on any of those normal dvd players.. (i burnt all of those movies to a blank dvd using divx player)

You will need to convert them to a format that is supported by your DVD player or you could buy a divx player.

I want to purchase two separate dvd players but I want to be able to have my boys watch the same movies at once, but if they like they can watch their own movies. I want to be able to have the ease of them watching one movie as well. Thanks!

Once the 3D games come out for the ps3 and the updates are available, do you think that it will be possible to play a Ps3 in 3D using a Samsung 3D tv, instead of the Sony?

Of course you. You don’t need a Sony tv to play in 3d. Just like you don’t need a Sony tv to play games in HD. There are already games out not that support the 3d like motorstorm and wipeout HD. There are 5 that i heard of that support it those two are the ones i can think of off my head.

I recorded a home video onto a DVD disc using a DVD video recorder. The DVD plays choppy in a portable DVD player and in my computer. It only plays smoothly in two DVD players, one including the one I used to record it with. So what’s the problem?
Oh, and it won’t play at all in another one, It says “NO DISC.”

It may be due to the media that you used. If you used DVD +R, you might want to try a DVD -R and see if that makes a difference. Sometimes it could also be due to the brand that you use, try and stick with name brands (HP, Memorex, Sony..) and see if that also helps.

I know that if you burn AVI files on dvds the dvd players can read it but what other file type can DVD players play? Which file type would show the best quality picture when watched on a DVD player? Does MKV work?
