Does Anyone Know How To Watch Internet TV?

Question by : Does Anyone Know How To Watch Internet TV?
I am wondering if anyone knows the best way to watch internet TV? I want to watch my favorite shows live on the internet but have no idea how to!

Answer by Bryan
Internet TV is usually not live. They usually become available after they premiere on TV/Cable etc. To view your favorite shows online i would browse to the TV networks website (ABC, CBS, etc.) and see what they have available to watch. Not everything is available but new things get added everyday.

You may have to download the appropriate plug-ins to watch video on websites, but they will usually inform you if you don’t have them, and tell you how to get them.

Can Google TV watch all of the same Internet TV content as the Boxee Box?

Question by : Can Google TV watch all of the same Internet TV content as the Boxee Box?
I want to cut the cord and not pay for cable (just broadband).

I can use Boxee Box and see a lot of Internet streaming TV. Google sounds like it is intended to be an addition to your regular cable, but if I don’t have cable what sort of content will I have access to?

You’ll have to wait until one of the upcoming implementations is actually delivered, as I don’t think one is actually out yet. Maybe in a couple of weeks.

Question by Satanic Warmaster: Can you watch 3d movies and also be able to play 3d games via ps3 on a LCD tv ?
I was also wondering what would be the requirements in which that LCD TV would be able to have in order to give me the best 3d experience. Would it damage the tv in anyway ? and how much of a difference would it be from and actual 3d tv ?

If your TV does not support 3D, you cannot play games or watch movies in true 3D, or to my knowledge, at all in 3D.

Most 3D TVs require external devices to activate stereoscopy. And, without a synchronizing device, it cannot connect to the external device.

Watch Local Live TV in 3D All The Time (Red/Cyan Sample) Without A 3D TV

Want to watch your local government at work in 3D, or perhaps a football game in 3D, but you do not have a 3D TV. Roxio has a 3D Player. This combined with a TV Tuner and a computer with enough horse power, and you can watch local TV in 3D all the time LIVE. Roxio has two versions of their player for 3D. This version of Roxio ‘s 3D Player supports 3D in HD (greater than 480p). The one in this video is the 2011 version of their software. I found the lesser version of the software at Sam’s Club, and it came with the Red/Cyan glasses and the ability to watch DVD’s in 3D.

Can you watch 3D movies on a 3D TV without using a 3D player?

Question by Average_Joe: Can you watch 3D movies on a 3D TV without using a 3D player?
I am thinking about getting a 3D capable TV so that my kids can watch 3D movies, but someone told me that you need a 3D Blue-Ray player as well. Is this true, or can you watch 3D movies on a 3D TV using a regular blue-ray player?

Best answer:

Answer by ddominic
Nope, you really need a 3D Blu-Ray DVD player. A regular DVD player can not produce 3D images to your television. Only a 3D Blu-Ray DVD can produce 3D movies to your television.

Also if you don’t have a 3D Blu-Ray DVD player there are many networks that have programming in 3D. Check out directv, or your cable company to see if they broadcasts shows in 3D.

“De-judder” is a feature becoming ubiquitous in HDTVs, yet no one has done a close video examination. It’s a 2D effect that artificially creates new frames out of existing ones (thus increasing your “FPS”). It works, it’s cool, but it’s not a miracle solution. The television demonstrated is an LG 42LH90 with “trumotion” “240hz” technology. Since Youtube does not support 60fps video, everything in the video is played at half speed (30fps) in order to demonstrate de-juddering. If you think about it, it seems like a creative extension of video compression technology, which breaks the picture into segments and predicts their motion path. De-judder probably does something similar in order to “invent” new frames, but it (understandably) seems selective about what areas of the picture it will attempt to “de-judder”. It works great for slow camera pans of course, where everything is moving across the screen in the same direction. Not so great for myriads of foreground and background objects moving in separate directions, or non-motion events like camera fades. It would be cool if it could be implemented in a GPU, so that elements can be processed separately and areas where the algorithm fails can be filled in with actual 3D rendering. It would be like modern adaptive anti-aliasing for motion. note: the interlace field bobbing is due to my camera, not the HDTV
